Ever heard of Malassada's? They happen to be one of my favorite treats! Malassada's are a Portuguese fried pasty dough that they roll in sugar - yummy! It all starts with a pasty dough conisisting of flour, sugar, egg's, milk and butter. Then the dough is fried, and then tossed in a bowl of sugar. They are best served still warm.
Provinvetown, MA has a stong Portuguese Heritage and the "Portuguese Bakery" is a must stop for visitors strolling along Commercial Street.
